Yoga

"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self". The Bhagavad Gita

My journey with yoga began over a decade ago. As a teenager, I attended classes at my local gym, and during university, I dabbled in the practice. However, it wasn’t until my early twenties that yoga became a consistent part of my life.

At first, it was purely physical, a way to complement my strength and conditioning training for rugby. But over time, it transformed into something much deeper. Stepping onto my mat, I discovered a sense of calm, a sense of stillness.

At 24, a major rugby injury changed everything. Yoga became not just a tool for physical rehabilitation but also a source of mental and emotional resilience. A year after surgery, I attended my first yoga retreat in India, an experience that deepened my connection to this ancient and spiritual practice.

I have a deep appreciation for traditional Hatha yoga, the beauty of a flowing Vinyasa sequence, and the profound release found in Yin. Yoga has given me firsthand experience of its transformative physical, mental, and spiritual benefits, and I am passionate about sharing these teachings with my students.

I completed my teacher training (500 hours) in Nepal, a country rich in spiritual heritage. Rooted in the breathtaking presence of the Himalayas, I felt humbled and deeply connected to the essence of yoga. I love sharing the wisdom and teachings of this truly magical place.
